Classic Pain Diagnoses that Primarily Affect Older Patients: Selecting the Best Treatment Option
This program will familiarize attendees with classic presentations of two disease processes common to the elderly. Physicians should be able to discuss the treatment options of these disease processes, and the advantages and disadvantages of the available treatments for trigeminal neuralgia and lumbar spondylosis. The session will also include a discussion of the importance of weighing treatment options for older patients, assessing risk stratification for procedures weighted against the adverse effects of medication, and the risks and benefits of treatment options.
