Multimodal Cancer Pain Care: Pharmacotherapy, Procedural, Psychotherapeutic
Cancer pain management requires a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach for optimal outcomes. Advances in pharmacotherapy, procedural interventions such as neuraxial therapy, and supportive psychotherapy strategies are crucial for best care during active cancer treatment, for advanced disease and end-of-life care, and for survivors. The evolution of pain treatment modalities has paralleled advances in cancer treatment itself. This program provides an overview of current pain treatment regimens for cancer pain during the full spectrum of cancer care.
