(301) Ultrasound-Guided Procedures
This session offers a brief overview of the basic physics of ultrasound technology. Then we will discuss the strengths and weakness of this modality for guided injections. The main portion of this lecture will involve the demonstration of the use of ultrasound-guided interventions in various injection techniques. First, we will demonstrate ultrasound use in regional anesthesia and its applications in pain medicine. The second presenter will review and demonstrate the use of ultrasound in musculoskeletal interventions. The final presenter will review the use of ultrasound in axial injections.
