| (207) Reviewing Manuscripts for Journal Publication: A Workshop for AAPM Reviewers and Potential Reviewers | |||
| The goal of this workshop is to present the fundamentals of the manuscript review process as is generally performed by the manuscript reviewer and editor of any medical, scientific journal. This course will first review the type of submissions a reviewer would be asked to review (e.g., case reports, case series) and their characteristics. Next, for each of these types of submissions, quality criteria by which the submission can be rated will be described. In the second part of the course, quality criteria for each section of the submission manuscript (e.g., introduction, methods, results) will be described. Finally, we will apply the quality criteria as defined for a typical submission to the journal Pain Medicine. | |||
